Harold is Vanstrom Klause's personal Bloodveld and must be fought right before him in the quest The Branches of Darkmeyer. In order to kill Harold, the player must use Vertida's bottle of holy water on him, otherwise he will never run out of health.
Harold reappears as a hallucination by the player during River of Blood. He does not need to be fought and is killed by using a hallucination of Vertida's bottle of holy water on him.
